Two people from my writer's group came, one of whom brought her daughter and a friend. So it was a small but fun group and well worth our time. We went until 1:30. The venue was good. Panera had a diverse lunch menu. It was light and affordable. The patio looked inviting, but the iron chairs were mad uncomfortable, so we moved inside and took a booth, which was very comfortable. I do realize distance is an issue for most. I'm hoping to connect with local, fellow OC screenwriters. I mean, we ALWAYS have to trudge up to LA for stuff, it's nice to have something of our own going on in town, you know? Also, I was competing with Comic Con. So next time, I hope to see a few new faces as well as the old (and maybe I can get WriterDad down here at some point, but you know...<em>baby</em>.)
