This tumblr idea is very interesting although I doubt I'd use it because I have so many pictures and ideas already tumbling around my mind. And then I saw Troop 51 and had to comment because my book, Erth Won is also about Boy Scouts who save the world. It's just not our earth they save. Hope yours sells well and paves the way for mine! I'm at the query stage, just on hold while I build my platform.

Happy to hear you are enjoying the scribometer. I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help with your question. 1. I have seen another plugin that you can use in pages/posts, but it was a long time ago. Search the WP plugin directory and you might find something. 2. My understanding is that WP.com limits the kinds of plugins available for security/support reasons. I suppose they could put in a request with WP, but I have no control over what they allow. If you learn anything more, please share with us!

Heya David, I am using the scribometer (which is fab); I am left wondering two things, 1) Do you know if there are scribometers that's usable on pages/posts?
2) I've had a few wordpress.com blogger friends ask where I got the scribometer, I have directed them to you but am unsure if it is useable on their blogs.

I would be grateful if you could provide an answer or suggestions.

It's an interesting idea for writers and filmmakers, but 18 months one sided is still 18 months one sided. If there is an incredible project I'm working on, I wouldn't submit it. And Who knows how much clout Amazon has or doesn't have in what gets purchased, produced, used, etc. They aren't a studio or production company.
Partnerships are nice, but you never know what kind of partnership it might be or might not be. Could be something great. Could just be a marketing gimmick. A lot of screenplay contests over the years were more gimmicky than legit. And they charged fees. Amazon isn't. So you wonder.
As far as crowdsourcing, Youtube is the ultimate crowd sourced site. It can be funny, but it's filled with millions and millions of cat videos and borrowed clips.
Like others posted, people will submit things that have been on a shelf or under a bed for years, submit last minute non revised projects, or unknowns that might not have done the real work submitting youtube like cat projects.
